The Bulgarian Commission of Military History kindly invites the member National Commissions of the ICMH to participate in the 38th Congress of Military History, which will be held from 25 until 31 August 2012 in Sofia, Bulgaria, under the aegis of the Minister of Defense of Republic of Bulgaria. The forum will be hosted by "G. S. Rakovski" Defense Academy. The Bulgarian Commission of Military History is delighted to welcome the Congress in Bulgaria for the first time in the history of the ICMH.
The main theme of the Congress will be: TECHNOLOGY AND WARFARE and the working languages of the event – English and French.
The Congress will be organized in the five-star Kempinski Hotel Zografski – a recommendable hotel for accommodation.
Sofia, the capital of our country of 8 000 000 people, is an ancient city. The Museums, the streets, and undergrounds keep tracks from Thracians, Hellens, Romans, Slavs, Bulgarians, and Ottomans. Some of them will be visited by the participants in the Congress during the social events.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sofia in 2012 to what we are certain will be an exciting and stimulating ICMH Congress.
Respectfully,
Prof. Dimitre Minchev
President of the Bulgarian Commission of Military History
